Get Ready for an Exciting World Book Day celebration at Darell Primary School

World Book Day: Thursday, 6th March

Your children will be taking part in a week-long celebration of reading starting Monday, 3rd March! We've got fantastic activities planned, including: Author Visit! Meet Jamie Hammond as he shares his love of storytelling. Book Fair in school – find your next great read! Trip to Kew Bookshop for some lucky classes. Story Swap Children will visit different classrooms for a special storytime. £1 Book Tokens for every child to exchange for a World Book Day book!

No costumes required – we want all children to enjoy the magic of books without any pressure, so Thursday 6th March will be a non-uniform day for all - if you want to add a wand or your cape needs dusting off then we’d love to see those, too.
