Rose Youth Theatre Under 11's
At Rose Youth Theatre Under 11’s we develop the communication, literacy and confidence of our members via drama and the spoken word, as well as ensuring that every child feels their contributions to the group are valued and vital. Rather than produce ‘young actors’ our goal is to develop a rich array of life skills such as teamwork, leadership, public speaking, sophisticated literacy abilities, imagination, creativity, focus and an ensemble spirit!
We currently run classes every day of the week for anyone aged 5-11 (year reception - year six) at our rehearsal spaces in Rose Theatre, Kingston.
The cost of the term is £120, and we also offer a sibling discount and have bursary options available upon request.
“The Rose Theatre has been such a confidence booster for my child and has immensely fostered her passion. She absolutely loves it.” - Under 11s Parent, 2022

With our new term starting in January, we hope the course will be of interest to students who would like to try a fun extra-curricular group, and wish to encourage anyone to join. Inclusion and opportunities are at the heart of what we do at Rose Participate, and as one of our open-access courses, there are no pre-requirements or auditions for the course.
Home Start
If you have some free time after Christmas, and you are a parent or grandparent, you could help other families with pre-school children. Local charity Home-Start is offering a free course to train you to be a home-visiting volunteer, supporting families with difficulties such as post-natal illness, bereavement or disability. The course will run in Whitton 9.45am-2.30pm, on Tuesdays from 31 January to 21 March (not half-term 14 Feb). After the course, you would visit a family for 2-3 hours a week. For more information, please contact Angie Ahmed angie@homestart-rkh.org.uk or 07884 536161. Registered charity no: 1108975.
